A Salvatori & Son Enhances Trailer Efficiency and Compliance with Webfleet EBPMS
Canterbury-based logistics firm A Salvatori & Son has adopted Webfleet’s Electronic Brake Performance Monitoring System (EBPMS) to boost trailer productivity, reduce downtime, and comply with new DVSA regulations requiring four annual laden roller brake tests. The family-run company operates 120 flatbed, curtain-sided, and double-decker trailers across the UK and Europe.
Since installing Webfleet’s Link 350 tracking units and EBPMS in 2024, Salvatori has been able to remotely monitor brake performance, run DVSA-approved load-simulated tests, and receive automatic alerts for any issues—eliminating the need for time-consuming depot visits. Director Remi Martysz said the system is expected to pay for itself in under three years through increased efficiency and better trailer utilisation.
The technology also provides 24/7 visibility, geofencing for port operations, and digital traceability for DVSA compliance. Building on this success, Salvatori plans to trial Webfleet’s tyre pressure monitoring on 15 double-decker trailers to prevent blowouts and improve delivery reliability.
We’ve been particularly impressed with training support, said Martysz. Webfleet made it simple for our workshop team to install the equipment ourselves, giving us the flexibility to expand the system in-house.
Alex Crane-Robinson, Regional Director, Webfleet UK and Ireland, added: Salvatori’s adoption of EBPMS shows how digital trailer monitoring can deliver measurable gains in both compliance and productivity.
By bringing real-time insights to the fleet team, Webfleet helps operators make smarter, safer and more efficient decisions.
