Contargo acquires 50% stake in Cargo-Center-Graz Logistik
Contargo has taken a 50% share in Cargo-Center-Graz Logistik GmbH (CCGL) as of 1 January 2026, marking a strategic partnership that strengthens both companies’ networks. The move expands Contargo’s reach to the Adriatic ports while integrating CCGL into its rail network.
CCGL, based at Cargo Terminal Graz, operates as a central logistics hub, managing block trains between Graz and southern ports, as well as pre-carriage and on-carriage by truck. The company currently runs multiple weekly round trips, including Koper–Bilk–Enns–Koper (1 trip), Koper–Graz–Koper (4 trips, rising to 6 in 2026), and Graz–Enns–Graz (2 trips).
The partnership aims to provide sustainable rail connections linking German industry, Austrian markets, the Adriatic ports, and South East Europe. Both containers and trailers will be transported along these routes, with plans to connect Graz to Contargo’s Frankfurt–Wörth network later this year. Additional Adriatic ports are also set to be integrated into the hub, supporting long-term growth and environmentally friendly transport solutions.
