Logistics provider DACHSER has announced a major reorganization of its Air & Sea Logistics (ASL) operations in Germany, aiming to create a leaner, more consolidated structure to support future growth. The changes will take effect on January 1, 2026.
As part of the restructuring, DACHSER will integrate the operations of its five smallest ASL branches—Berlin, Dresden, Mannheim, Rheine, and Saarbrücken—into larger, nearby locations. While operational activities will be centralized, local sales offices will remain active to ensure continued customer support and regional presence.
“DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics is positioning itself in Germany with a lean administrative structure and, at the same time, powerful operations. This allows us to optimize shipment processing while remaining close to our customers through sales,” explains Dr. Tobias Burger, COO ASL at DACHSER.
Once the transition is complete, DACHSER ASL will operate from 11 strategic locations across Germany. The move will impact around 60 employees, all of whom are expected to continue in their roles at the consolidated sites.
“The restructuring will strengthen ASL Germany. We are focusing on a future-proof air and sea freight organization to connect the European groupage network with the global growth markets – and vice versa,” explains Burkhard Eling, CEO of DACHSER.
