Dee4 announces the acquisition of an Ultramax bulk carrier, to be renamed “Dee4 Oak”

Dee4 Capital Partners ApS (“Dee4”) is pleased to announce the acquisition of “Ultra Diversity”, a 63,490 dwt Ultramax bulk carrier, which will be renamed post-completion as “Dee4 Oak”.

The vessel will be owned by Dee4 Capital Fund II K/S (“Fund II”)

Completion of the transaction is expected to be in Q4 2025, following which she will be chartered back to Ultrabulk A/S, a subsidiary of which is the seller of the vessel.

Following the transaction, Fund II will have two vessels in its portfolio. Dee4 continues to manage seven co-investment vessels, all of which are medium-range product tankers.

Dee4 Capital is a Danish private equity firm investing in shipping, transport & logistics, energy, offshore and infrastructure. The firm was founded by Carsten Mortensen and Freddie Lee in 2019. Dee4 Capital Fund I was fully realised as of June 2024, generating a 26% net IRR to investors. Dee4 Capital Fund II is currently being deployed, having final closed in March 2025.
