Clariant and Swire Energy Services Launch New Supply Base in Norway to Support North Sea Operations

Clariant Oil Services, together with strategic partner Swire Energy Services, has opened a new bulk chemical storage and transfer facility in Dusavik, Stavanger, enhancing support for the Norwegian North Sea energy sector. Set to be fully operational by September 2025, the site features automated systems for safe and precise offshore chemical transfers, along with quality control labs, administrative offices, and expanded IBC storage.

“Norway’s oil and gas market is in a significant growth phase, and we are strategically positioning ourselves to support this expansion,” commented Samy El-Khoury, Head of Oil Services EMEA. “This base represents our commitment to supporting our customers’ growth aspirations in this thriving market.”

“It is really exciting to see our new facility come on line to support Clariant, a key partner in the region and globally. The development of the facility has been a truly collaborative project with the two teams working side by side to support key customers,” comments Bengt Ullenes, General Manager Norway of Swire Energy Services. “The additional investment in the Norwegian Chemical management segment compliments the work we do along the Norwegian Coastline. We look forward to the ongoing development of this facility over the coming years.”

This strategic expansion significantly increases Clariant’s bulk handling capacity in Europe, reinforcing its commitment to customer growth and operational excellence. Swire will provide end-to-end logistics support, ensuring safe, efficient delivery of high-value oilfield chemicals.
