Chancerygate has successfully sold five units at its £23 million Genesis Park urban logistics scheme in South Wigston, Leicestershire. The 128,000 sq ft development, which Chancerygate both delivered and retains ownership of, comprises 15 units ranging from 4,800 sq ft to 18,500 sq ft.
Among the recent transactions, global catering equipment manufacturer Sammic Limited acquired 9,500 sq ft of space at Genesis Park and will occupy the unit. Investor Stepnell Limited purchased a 4,800 sq ft unit, while Personal Homecare Pharmacy expanded its footprint by acquiring an adjacent 5,800 sq ft unit, adding to its existing 9,000 sq ft space in the scheme.
William & Phillips Holdings has also grown its presence by buying two additional units, complementing its previous acquisition within the development.
There is currently an offer on a further 6,800 sq ft unit, leaving four remaining units available, ranging from 5,400 sq ft to 9,900 sq ft. These units are offered on both freehold and leasehold terms.
Chancerygate’s senior development and transaction director, Matthew Connor, commented: “Completing these latest deals at Genesis Park highlights the high demand from both owner-occupiers and investors for the urban logistics accommodation we are delivering.
“The returning business of existing owners also evidences our scheme’s ability to meet the demands of modern operations through its sustainability credentials, flexible sizing and strategic location.
“With limited space now remaining at Genesis Park, any interested parties should get it touch to discuss the available leasehold and freehold opportunities at the scheme.”
Strategically located just over five miles south of Leicester city centre, Genesis Park benefits from excellent connectivity to the M1 and M69 motorways. Nearby occupiers include major retailers Tesco, Lidl, and Wickes.
The scheme is marketed by Sutton Phillips, Savills, and JLL.
