MAN Truck & Bus UK Unveils State-of-the-Art Facility in Stockton-on-Tees

MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd has launched a new state-of-the-art dealership and service centre in Stockton-on-Tees, boosting support for commercial vehicle operators across the North East.

The 3.5-acre site includes a 1,692 sq. m (18,212 sq. ft.) facility with seven service bays—five standard and two Pet Reg—as well as a dedicated EV maintenance bay. It supports the full MAN vehicle range, from 3.5-tonne TGE vans to 250-tonne TGX tractors, plus bus and coach models.

Jan Kohlmeier, Managing Director of MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd, said: “This is an exciting time for both the staff at the Stockton-on-Tees branch and the wider MAN Truck & Bus UK organisation.

“The new facility doubles the footprint of the existing Stockton site, offering customers a broader range of service solutions as well as increasing the workshop throughput, which translates to quicker and more efficient turnarounds for customers and vehicle service requirements.”

Jan added, “This considerable investment shows our long-term commitment to both the North East and our strong customer base across the surrounding area. It also demonstrates a clear promise to the experienced team in Stockton, who have worked hard to ensure customer satisfaction over the years. This brand new facility will allow us to expand further across the area, and we’re thrilled and excited to have this opportunity.”

Located near key transport links (A135, A66, A19, and A1), the site features dedicated sales offices, customer meeting areas, and modern amenities for drivers, including a waiting lounge with refreshments and charging points.

MAN Truck & Bus Stockton-on-Tees Branch Manager, Victoria Whitehouse, commented, “To help us support and assist our customers and at the same time grow our business footprint across the North-East, this seven bay workshop, close to the A66, will deliver many new opportunities for the MAN brand.

“Being just half a mile from our previous location, where we’ve been operating for 34 years, means that we’ve been able to retain all our existing staff and skill sets,” added Victoria. “The staff are the lifeblood of this industry and we’re lucky to have built a great team over the years. Their skill and enthusiasm for both the MAN brand and our customers’ businesses shines through at all times and is something that we are all immensely proud of. Currently, we have 42 members of staff offering customers a combined 329 years of commercial vehicle experience.”

“The entire team hasn’t stopped smiling since we were handed the keys and we’re all looking forward to welcoming customers to our new home,” Victoria concluded.

Built with sustainability in mind, the brownfield redevelopment retained existing structures and reused materials, with 75% of labour sourced locally. Natural lighting and ample HGV parking enhance efficiency and accessibility.

Part of MAN’s national investment programme, the Stockton facility offers seven-day-a-week service, from 6:30 a.m. Monday to midnight Saturday, and 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.
