Saronic Launches Two Groundbreaking Autonomous Surface Vessels: Mirage and Cipher
Saronic has unveiled two new Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASVs) – the 40-foot Mirage and the 60-foot Cipher – designed to enhance maritime operations. These new models offer impressive range, capacity, and versatility for both military and commercial uses.
- Mirage: With a range of over 2,000 nautical miles and a carrying capacity of 2,000 pounds, Mirage doubles the performance of Saronic’s Corsair platform.
- Cipher: Offering a range of 3,000+ nautical miles and a 10,000-pound capacity, Cipher significantly boosts the capabilities of Saronic’s smaller ASVs.
“We are committed to advancing autonomous maritime capabilities that protect critical waterways, secure the maritime domain, and deliver lasting economic and security advantages to the U.S. and its allies,” said Saronic CEO Dino Mavrookas. “The future of maritime dominance depends on the rapid adoption of these technologies — and achieving that future will require a diverse range of ASVs, from small vessels to larger systems designed to support existing and emerging critical mission needs.”
“Saronic’s development of Mirage and Cipher is based on the deep understanding of the mission sets and capabilities we have cultivated with our customers since the company’s founding. These new models are ideally suited to bring even greater capability to the maritime domain,” said Mavrookas.
“Saronic is uniquely positioned to be a holistic provider of autonomous systems that can bring enduring advantage to the maritime domain. Together with Spyglass, Cutlass, Corsair, and the recently announced Marauder MUSV, Mirage and Cipher will be optimized for scalable deployment across the full spectrum of maritime operations,” said Mavrookas. “Whether in contested environments or complex commercial ports, Mirage and Cipher will bring flexible, intelligent capability to the maritime domain.”
The new vessels leverage Saronic’s vertically integrated approach, ensuring seamless hardware, software, and autonomy. Built with an open, modular software architecture, Mirage and Cipher can quickly integrate new technologies for various missions, from military operations to commercial logistics.
These advancements make Saronic’s ASVs scalable and ready for rapid production, setting a new benchmark in autonomous maritime technology.
