SICORE Real Assets acquires 15,000 sq m airport logistics development in Helsinki
SICORE Real Assets has expanded its European logistics portfolio with the acquisition of a newly developed logistics property located directly at Helsinki Airport.
The approximately 15,000 sq m asset was acquired for one of SICORE’s proprietary special funds and is fully and long-term let to DHL Express Finland Oy. The property was purchased from a joint venture between Urban Partners and Pontos.
Completed in July 2025, the development is located at Siipitie 9–11 in Vantaa, just north of Helsinki’s city boundary. Situated directly on the airport campus, the asset offers immediate access to the apron, making it particularly well suited for airside logistics operations. It also benefits from excellent motorway connections, allowing access to around 60% of Finland’s population within a three-hour drive.
The property comprises approximately 11,000 sq m of logistics space, alongside 1,800 sq m of service and ancillary areas and 2,100 sq m of office accommodation. The site also includes 29 outdoor parking spaces. In terms of sustainability, the asset meets the highest modern standards and has achieved both LEED Platinum and BREEAM In-Use certifications.
Martina Averbeck, spokesperson for the management board at SICORE Real Assets, said the acquisition represents a strong strategic addition to the company’s growing logistics portfolio, citing the prime airport location, modern technical specifications, third-party usability and strong ESG credentials. She added that SICORE continues to seek attractive logistics opportunities in core European markets that support the development of local, regional and international supply chains.
JLL Finland advised the seller on the transaction, while the buyer was supported by Dittmar & Indrenius (legal), EY (tax and structuring) and Granlund (technical advisory).
