Skyjack Brings Industry-Leading Micro Scissor Lifts to European Market

Skyjack, a division of Linamar Corporation (TSX: LNR), has officially introduced its award-winning micro scissor lifts—the SJ3213 Micro and SJ3219 Micro—to the European market. These compact, fully electric lifts are engineered for efficiency, reliability, and performance in confined spaces, marking a significant expansion of Skyjack’s low-level access solutions.

Now available to contractors and rental fleets across Europe, the “Mighty Micros” offer zero-emission operation, long runtimes, and low total cost of ownership, all backed by Skyjack’s industry-recognized service and support.

“Skyjack takes pride in providing machine features that combine durability, quality, and serviceability. The SJ3213 micro and SJ3219 micro are no exception, earning the mighty micros moniker by improving productivity in tight spaces and reducing lifetime maintenance costs,” shares Charlie Patterson, Skyjack President.

The SJ3213 Micro and SJ3219 Micro are designed to navigate standard doorways and passenger elevators, making them ideal for tight indoor and outdoor applications. With working heights of 5.8 m and 7.3 m and a platform capacity of 227 kg, these models support a wide range of construction, maintenance, and industrial tasks.

Despite their small footprint, the units boast the largest platform area in their class, thanks to a 51 cm (20″) rollout extension with up-and-over capability.

The Mighty Micros are powered by AC electric drive, delivering consistent torque, power, and traction. Operators benefit from a simple digital diagnostic display that eliminates the need for plug-in calibration and simplifies troubleshooting.

“The fully proportional E-Drive installed in the micro series improves controllability and provides consistent power, torque, and traction. This quiet and swift electric drive greatly improves productivity, giving the rental industry more for less,” adds Mark Trowman, Product Development and Project Manager, Europe. “Skyjack’s ECO mark on the micro scissors also highlights our commitment to delivering environmental performance and long-term sustainability.”

Skyjack’s micros also feature lighter gross vehicle weights and reduced floor loads compared to other models in the category. Additional design benefits include steel motor guards for front wheel protection—rare in this class—and optional add-ons such as the modular XStep and the two-piece ECOTRAY, which fully contains hydraulic fluid without requiring bulky underbody pads.

The SJ3219 Micro earned international acclaim in April 2025, winning Product of the Year in the Scissor Lifts and Vertical Mast Platforms category at the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs). The judges praised the lift’s efficiency, controllability, and extended duty cycles, along with its robust E-Drive system.

With the arrival of these compact powerhouses in Europe, Skyjack continues to redefine low-level access—delivering smart, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving demands of today’s jobsites.
