Transporeon Unveils AI-Driven Transport Planning and Next-Gen TMS Solutions at NEXT 2025
Transporeon, a Trimble Company, has officially launched a suite of next-generation logistics solutions, headlined by its new Transport Planner tool—marking a major step forward in its mission to build a fully integrated, modular Transport Management System (TMS) for the AI era.
The new Transport Planner delivers fast, cost-effective, and optimized transport plans, significantly outperforming traditional planning systems. It forms part of a wider rollout of AI-powered tools across the Transporeon platform, including updates to its Freight Marketplace, Execution & Visibility, and Dock & Yard Management solutions.
“The logistics landscape demands solutions that are intelligent and increasingly interconnected,” said Jonah McIntire, chief product and technology officer, transportation & logistics at Trimble. “Our latest innovations deliver a truly agile TMS, built for the AI age. By seamlessly integrating planning, network execution and enhanced real-time visibility, we give our customers unprecedented control throughout their entire transportation cycle.”
Together, these innovations bring Transporeon’s modular TMS vision to life—offering shippers and carriers a flexible, fully-integrated solution to navigate today’s fast-paced logistics landscape.
AI at the Core of Smarter Logistics
Transporeon’s enhanced capabilities target three core logistics areas:
1. Execution & Visibility
-
The Transport Planner optimizes transport assignments with speed and efficiency at a fraction of the cost of legacy tools.
-
New “Autonomous Procurement” and “Autonomous Quotation” features enable full automation of spot shipment workflows.
-
Enhanced tracking in Transporeon Visibility now supports real-time monitoring of ocean (including demurrage and detention) and air freight.
2. Freight Marketplace
-
The upgraded Freight Procurement tool uses AI to improve tendering and carrier selection, with new multi-lane RFQ functionality.
-
Tighter integration with “Market Insight” brings data-backed decision-making to the forefront.
3. Dock & Yard Management
-
The next-gen Time Slot Management system improves yard flow and carrier coordination via a unified access point.
-
Yard Pre-Check-In and Digital Transport Documents streamline check-ins and truck processing—entirely paperless and automated.
“Transporeon’s TMS enables our customers to easily adapt the system to their needs, increasing agility and lowering costs,” said Philipp Pfister, sector vice president, Transporeon. “This marks a milestone in our journey: we’ve established the foundation and now we’re unlocking the platform’s full potential with enhanced AI-driven capabilities that deliver real impact. The value isn’t just in our advanced, adaptable tools, but in the exponential benefits our customers gain from connecting to a single, vast network of shippers, carriers and forwarders. We empower our customers, and in doing so, our entire network grows stronger.”
A Modular, Open, and Scalable TMS for the Future
Transporeon’s AI-driven TMS is built for agility and scale, offering:
-
A managed logistics network with instant access to 158,000 carriers and 1,400 shippers—reducing costly integrations.
-
Modular flexibility, letting users adopt only the tools they need—or the full end-to-end suite.
-
Interoperable architecture, ensuring smooth integration with third-party and legacy systems.
-
Usage-based pricing, eliminating high upfront license fees in favor of pay-as-you-use models.
The new features were showcased at NEXT, Transporeon’s product innovation event during the Transporeon Summit 2025 in Amsterdam. The Transport Planner tool is already live, with ongoing updates planned throughout 2026.
Meanwhile, the next-gen Freight Procurement and Time Slot Management tools are currently in beta, with full release expected in Q1 2026.
