GEODIS secures certification to handle specialised defence-sector transport in Poland

GEODIS has obtained an Internal Compliance Programmes (ICP) certificate in Poland, enabling the logistics provider to expand its specialised transport services for the defence sector and businesses handling strategically important and dual-use goods.

The certification confirms that GEODIS has established procedures and controls to meet applicable regulatory requirements governing the trade and transport of goods, technologies and services subject to national and European Union legislation.

Issued by CCJ, an accredited certification body operating within the structures of the Military University of Technology, the certificate recognises the company’s compliance procedures and approach to security and foreign trade controls.

Strengthening compliance and supply chain security

To obtain the certification, GEODIS completed a comprehensive preparation process, including reviewing and updating internal procedures, conducting audits, training employees and defining responsibilities within its internal control system.

The programme is subject to ongoing supervision, periodic reviews and assessments to ensure that the required standards are maintained.

The certification strengthens GEODIS Poland’s ability to serve customers operating in regulated sectors, particularly those requiring enhanced supply chain security, controlled access to information and oversight of logistics processes.

“This is another step in the development of specialist services of GEODIS in Poland. We send a signal to customers and companies that we are ready to carry out even the most specific products and demanding orders. We guarantee not only high quality of services, but also full confidentiality and compliance, which is crucial in this sector.” said Marc Vollet, EVP of European Road Network at GEODIS.

It also creates opportunities for cooperation with businesses whose products, activities or regulatory obligations require a logistics partner with appropriate compliance procedures and controls.

The certification forms part of GEODIS’ broader global strategy on sustainability, safety and compliance, reinforcing its focus on meeting regulatory requirements and supporting customers with specialised logistics needs.
